2018 Rick pankow foundation Trees of hope fundraiser

The Rick Pankow Foundation is proud to announce the 17th annual Holiday “Trees of Hope” event for cancer patients who are spending the holiday season in the hospital and those that are receiving outpatient cancer treatment.

Any donation that you can manage is greatly appreciated in our effort to surpass last year’s $7,000 “Trees of Hope” fundraiser.  As you may know, we deliver over 250 live decorated holiday trees to Evergreen Hospital and Hospice during this drive. We have been so touched by the thank you letters and notes we’ve received from the patients, as well as the appreciation expressed by Evergreen Hospital and Hospice, that we have challenged ourselves to raise $15,000.

Each live Alberta Spruce tree you sponsor will be decorated and include a tag indicating it was sponsored by the Rick Pankow Foundation. Patients will then be allowed to take the trees home with them when they leave the hospital so they can be planted in their yards as a constant reminder of hope during and after their cancer treatments.

The funds collected by the Rick Pankow Foundation for this event will continue to be aimed at providing financial assistance to families affected by cancer and college scholarships for individuals pursuing a horticulture career in the Northwest. We continue to support local families with medical issues and financial challenges and there is no shortage of requests.

Check out photos OF our 1st Annual Fun Run/Walk on October 4th, 2014. The evenT went off smoothly with over 85 participants who helped us raise $3,000!
