26th Annual Trees of Hope
It’s that special time of year again! Join us for RPF’s holiday tradition that brings cheer and practical support to cancer patients and their families in the Eastside and Seattle areas.
200 miniature Alberta Spruce Trees of Hope, donated by Jason LaRonde at Pacifica Nurseries, will be decorated and delivered to patients receiving care at EvergreenHealth Hospice and Cancer Care. Proceeds help families with a cancer-related illness, struggling to pay bills while in treatment.
“Every year around December, people start asking, ‘Where are the trees? Where are the trees? Where are the Pankow Trees?!’ And we’ll say, ‘Just wait, they’re coming, they’re coming.’ Everyone looks forward to the trees arriving. We have 15 hospice beds here, but 500 patients out in the community. Every single one of those trees goes to a home where it’s placed next to a bed and looked upon with joy by a patient, their family, their caregiver, and the staff at whatever facility they live in.”
